The expanding traffic and increasingly widening partner network over the years made it necessary to continuously develop and modernize our production technology, raw material and finished goods handling, taking into account and complying with food safety and hygiene requirements applicable to the entire area of the plant and warehouses. As a result, our company has been implementing a food safety system developed by external experts and audited according to the IFS international standard since 2018.
IFS is an International Food Standard for food safety that applies a uniform evaluation system for supplier qualification and selection, helps retailers maintain their product food safety chain, and monitors the quality level of food products marketed under retailers' private labels. The IFS standard applies to all steps of food processing from suppliers through production to delivery to customers. The requirements are linked to the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system, which is supported by detailed prerequisite programs that form part of the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) requirement systems. With its help, we have built and operate a management system through which we can better comply with food safety requirements and related regulations.
We can precisely track our incoming raw and packaging materials from semi-finished and finished product manufacturing, as well as our finished products from warehousing to delivery to customers. We have become capable of improving, effectively monitoring, and measuring food safety performance. We have significantly reduced the amount of waste generated during our product manufacturing and minimized the chance of potential product withdrawal or recall. Thus, our procurement, manufacturing, packaging, and transportation technology satisfactorily meets the highest requirements in every respect. Our products are traceable from farm to consumers' tables!

How can we know that organic raw materials go into organic finished products?
During on-site inspections, they verify that all agricultural raw materials arriving at the facility have reliable, authentic certification regarding organic origin. The synonym for organic product is the term ecological product, which means that the given goods were made using chemical-free raw materials, and during cultivation, only biodegradable or natural substances were used. During production, it is forbidden to use genetically modified raw materials or their derivatives, and the soil in which the raw materials were grown could not have been treated with chemicals for at least three years. Except for mung bean sprouts, all BIO CSIRI sprouts are certified organic products. We are proud that we supply broccoli, leek, and organic mixture sprouts, which are members of the SPAR Natur*pur organic product family, to SPAR Hungary chain stores.
